I’ve read all these questions, and most people talk like they’re not the same thing. I tried googling it, but i can’t find a definite answer. Could someone help me?
And also, if I wanted to experience something paranormal, just out of interest to see if all the stories I’ve heard could be true, how would I go about it? Would I just research haunted houses near me and visit one or what?
Well, there is a difference. A ghost is what happens to a person after they die. They are often called spirits, but it isn’t what they actually are.
The word spirit could really mean anything. There is the Holy Spirit, lol:). But it could be anything from a ghost to a demon to an angel. It is just a commonly used word. Especially if you don’t know what it is.

I would get a camera and a tape recorder along with a flashlight and go to a cemetery and try and to snap some photos and to try and pick up any electronic voice phenomena on the tape recorder.Turn on the tape recorder and ask if there is any spirits present that would like to speak to you,ask them their name and how they died and why they are still here.See if you pick up anything on the film of the camera and on the tape for evidence.You could try this in a house that is old and has some history to it or is said to be haunted.I think that other people pretty much answered your questions regarding the ghosts and spirits,it’s the same difference basically.Hope you get some evidence and if you do come back to the paranormal section and let us all know how you made out.Happy Haunting!
A Spirit is how the person feels it is a representation of their nature.
A Ghost a form taken on after death a dead thing.
The Spirit is alive a thing inside the person which comes out or could come out even while the person lives.
A spirit is a person that passes on that goes into the light,they are harder to see.A ghost is a person that stays around and doesn’t go into the light.In my experience A Spirit will float,and a ghost looks like a regular person.
You should look for a paranormal group in your area,they could tell you where they found evidence.Always get permission first!You’ll need a camera and voice recorder.
it is the same thing depends on interpretation . Ghosts are the easiest way to point a finger at something until it has been investigated. Spirits were the original way of saying it.. friendly ones, wood ones, or forest ones. The spirits in the bottle too.. . had to say it .. go to any paranormal site they should have it explained…

The way a Pastor explained it is say you are a light bulb in a lamp, while the lamp is plugged in & turned on you are alive. But if someone unplugs the lamp you are dead. You being the light bulb is your soul, the lamp itself being your body. the electricity being your spirit.

Ghost is basically a spirit that has not transcended to the other side, it’s call a ghost because it still thinks it’s alive or has unfinished business on the earth.
Spirits have transcended to the other side or elsewhere other dimensions higher or lower and know that they are dead in body.
Although spirits can visit and return to the other side.
This is the reason why they call the holy spirit the holy ghost because it’s always on the earth.
Ghosts are ppl that died, but they are stuck to something or someone.. and are mad about something most of the time.. they just need to tell someone something.. Spirits have more control over what they can do, Spirits are very powerfully, there are different kinds of spirits, like Spirit Guides those are a Spirits of an “angle” (this person was a very good person when he or she was alive) they guide you though life.. they always someone from a long time ago and every once in a while one of your family members come down and is your guide for a bit but they are always moving to someone else in your family.. but your Spirit guide can’t also be a demon which is not good, b/c you follow what the demon tells you what to do more then the angle so the demon over powers the angle.. a ghost is never a angle or a demon.. hope that helps
