Since most real ghost occurrences are spontaneous, it makes it very hard to prove using traditional scientific approaches.
Traditional scientific methods would involve being able to test it, reproduce it, blind and double blind testing etc. None of which work for an event that is not predictable.
That doesn’t mean that ghosts aren’t real. It just means that we don’t have the appropriate methods or equipment in place to prove it to the scientific community right now. But everyday things advance and change. So who knows, perhaps one day we will have more answers.
In the meantime its perfectly acceptable to follow your own beliefs on this subject.

sure there has been goo head…..my two cents would be to go to some of the famous cemetaries (look up on the internet) that is famous for ghost visitation…there is one in wisconson…starts with a d….danville darnstmonth…something like that…saw it on tv…people were pushed in the cememtary…if you open yourself to it…you might get a visitation sometime…but I will tell you one about mine…it came threw in a dream…well twice..once two weeks after a patient of mine died…he came to kiss me goodbye, he had alzheimers,so I would tell him when I saw him sad and in distress…to go to Terri his wife…go to the light…another, I was having sexy dreams, in an old 90 year old hugh apt complex, lived there for 14 years…only had it about two times that I remember, so one day soon after, I visit with an Indian hindu mystic (holy man) and the last thing he said to me was, oh BTW you have a spirit in your apt, that enjoys having sex with you…I never mentioned it to him…hindu said, just ask it to leave you alone…after I did that…the spirit came back one more time…he was sitting on a bed, it looked like a world war two hospital…he was just staring at me…he looked upset…that was the end of that… so I guess that makes three times that Iam aware of….some people are just more sensitive than others, it doesnt mean you cant do the same thing…its just that well…the goo is interfering…sorry I couldnt help it…you could also look up edgar cayce the sleeping prophet that passed in 1948…gave 15000 reading, still has an institute in virginia beach….they’ve kept all of his reading….see how to cure, and other great topics…he also predicted, 2nd world war, dead presidents, the sphinx has an interesting space in the left paw….with something in it…book of life the space aliens left us…and on and on….dont forget dec 2012….you can look it up on internet or go to barnes and nobles….sign me always learning, even at 59….hey it goes fast…Iam 22 thousand days old…..

Not to date. However I believe they will some day.
So far the best proof I have given to myself is evps. These voices come from somewhere and when I know for fact (and I do not care who believes me or not) that there was not anyone making a noise or faking a voice they are proof to me.

Well, ghosts exist only in children’s stories, so the question is a little difficult to answer. It’s rather like asking if the Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz really exists. No real-world phenomena involve ghosts.

You can prove it to yourself very easily. Proof for the rest of the world will be a long time in coming but go out and see for yourself. Take a voice recorder to a place that is supposed to be haunted. Try recording EVP for yourself.

There has been no scientific evidence for ghosts found, everything that people claim is caused by ghosts has a more reasonable explanation which doesn’t involve the supernatural.

Catch one and bring it to a scientist to be studied. But that hasn’t happened, so no, there’s no scientific evidence at all for ghosts.
