For the books, not short stories. I want ONE complete story that is the entire book.
My three favorite paranormal movies are: An American Haunting, Amityville Horror, and Haunting in Connecticut.
It would be nice if is was based on a true story or true events.
well for the movies… I watched one recently with my fiance on New Years Eve… its called Paranormal Activity… It scared the shit out of me I still sleep with the lights on … I defiantly recommend it if you are into that sort of thing…
as for the books I would say Edgar Alan Poe is pretty good about creepy stories but they aren’t really about ghosts or anything and most of them are short story’s but still worth the read if your interested. The House of Usher has a ghost in it.
Shakespeare uses ghosts often in his plays I recently saw Richard the Third and all the people that were killed by the title character returned as ghosts.
“The Others” with Nicole Kidman ranks as one of the best ever.
“The Haunting” from 1963 is scarier than the over the top modern version
“The Innocents” with Deborah Kerr, an oldie, or any good version of “The Turn of the Screw” on which it’s based
“Below” about a haunted submarine – but don’t blink during the film, there are lots of oh my gods did you see thats
“Ghost Story” in a cast including Fred Astaire is creepy
Rose Red is based off of a real haunted house…The Diary of Ellen Rimbour is which Rose Red is based on they are good movies
Dragonfly – Kevin costner… very good
Haunting in Georgia – pretty good
Stir of Echoes – Kevin Bacon… good
The Sixth Sense – Bruce Willis…very good
Flatliners – Kevin Bacon, Julia Roberts
Knowing – Nicolas Cage not really a ghost movie, but a good psychic movie

If you like this stuff, there’s this old Disney show called, “So Weird”! it hasn’t been on in years, but they have all the episodes of Youtube! I would recommend watching it, if you’re really into this stuff! And most of the episodes, are based off real things, and some are even based on true events!
