Because while in graveyards we think of the dead and it is there that we get the idea that they are coming back. However ghosts are not real so there is no issue.

personally, I do not believe there are very many ghosts in a graveyard, most ghosts move on to a bettter place(hopefully). Of the few that do hang around their gravestones, I believe its because they are confused and have not accepted their deaths, or in some cases, maybe they weren”t so nice and they are afraid to move on, not being sure what awiats them

Maybe they stayed near or hovering in their body when it was laid to rest there. Now that it has sat for a while they are curious and up roaming around,,,lost,afraid and confused. His hobby is to hang out at grave yards and do EVP’s and photography. He added onto the site some of his EVP catches. They are awesome. He asks questions and sometimes the answers are to his question he asks and sometimes the ghosts just ramble on about stuff. Ghosts tend to attract to a place that had great significance in their lives, Not so much where the body was lsaid to rest- they out of the body and have no use for it.

well maybe they don’t want to be there maybe they feel like they need to take care of there body or they are forced to stay there

Can’t answer how they became intertwined. That would probably have to involve some type of study of anthropology, and I don’t have that info.

Some researchers tend to lean more towards there being a portal in graveyards. Native Americans didn’t’ just bury somebody somewhere for no reasons, they asked their gods to lead them there. This could help explain why indian burial grounds usually cause hauntings if something is built on top of it. Myself I honestly don’t know about the whole portal thing but things enter this world, do things then leave again…including mothman, bell witch…!

Also, if a graveyard if left in really bad shape or is constantly vandalized it causes a stir of paranormal activity. I know when I’m dead if my grave is robbed Im gonna be pissed too. Some places can also just be haunted before the graveyard was even put there. Just like buildings and homes. It isn’t what is in the present, we have to look at the past to find the answers for the hauntings. That is about as serious as a statement in this field as it can get. We cannot prove ghosts exist with science. We have to do it through history!

Ghost are spirits that for many of them still believe that they are still alive. Even spirits from other dimensions in some way are still attached to grave yards. This I know because of many experiences with spirits that travel from like higher dimensions. They are in someway still attach to their bones and the site and or grave stone, it’s personal. I once brought home a pile of stone and bricks that was in a wooded area to do stone work at home. Not realizing that I actually brought home a grave stone and I use it in my walkway near the picture window. After I completed the walkway, I fell off to sleep on the couch next to the window near the stone, and I was awaken from a spirit floating over me. I found out a week later that that stone was a grave stone, it said on it, “Tilly Jones 1880″.
I know other people that were touched in a grave yard, and my cousin whom died from cancer started speaking to his wife as she prayed the rosary over his grave site.
Ghost may haunt an area because they haven’t transcended. A residual haunting is just trapped energy that play over and over again, and spirits from other dimensions can travel to some degree, some are attached to some personal items. So it can be confusing at times unless you experience it enough that you ascertain whats going on and how it works.

I believe that ghosts can only exist within the confines of where they died or their home. Long ago before modern medical equipment was developed a lot of people got buried alive. People would be in a coma, or have a low pulse or heart rate. They would be thought to be dead & end up buried alive. I have heard old stories of floods washing out graves. People would check the coffins for the bodies, & discover the interior would be clawed. Sometimes people would mange to dig their way out of the graves. This also lead to the myths about vampires.

These ghosts or spirits either don’t know that they are dead or some ghosts has this unfinished business that they never had a chance to finish while they were still alive in the physical world.Some spirits guards the people who are very close to them while they were still alive.But mostly spirits go to this called astral plane after they die in the physical world.
Ghosts can be everywhere they want but usually places that are not noisy is the best place for them to inhabit because of less noise,less disturbance.That’s why many abandoned houses are called haunted houses because they take over the place for them to stay.Although some ghosts also interact with people who are alive.

Yes, because graveyards is where the dead are laid to rest. When someone wakes up from the dead, they are a ghost.
