tonight my one hamster has just been staring in one direction for the absolute longest time! i mean i’d pet him but he wouldnt move around like he usually would? also my other hamster would just peek out his cage but refuse to come out like he usually would?

I think it is more likely that his instincts were telling him that there was a predator in the area and he was “on alert” to make sure he was not gobbled up by a cat or a hawk.
Regardless of whether there was anything in the room that could have harmed him, he was “spooked” and reacting as he should have.
The idea that a ghost was responsible for this reaction is a bit of an over-reaching.
