Actually, there are ghosts and ghuls in Eastern folk-tales as well. I cannot think of a good Western equivalent for a Jinn or Ifrit though. I suppose, from a Christian Western viewpoint these would be considered to be demons or devils of some sort. In pagan tradition the closest equivalent would be some sort of nature spirits *** sorcerers, though.

ghosts are either: Angels, Jinnies, or devils. so they call any spirit that is unknown a ghost. but Allah told us brief information about these spirits that are invisible to us. Jin existed in western countries, but they call ghosts instead of its real name.

they’re big on respecting the spirits

Ghosts are seen ’round the world. I’ve also known people, in Canada at least, that have seen djinn here.
Granted, not often, and not by many in either case!

They are the same, just known by different names. They also do not subscribe to any immigration restrictions and travel freely, one second at the palace and the other at the white house. LOL

Any proof?

False accusation.
There is no such thing as ghosts, rather, the ‘ghosts’ you see are merely Djinn trying to disguise themselves, and spreading the message of ‘disbelief”
