Most people believe in ghosts because they want to believe theres an “afterlife”, like most religions believe. When somebody dies people say “may he rest in peace” truth is that saying is to confort the living, the dead is dead nothing can change that, so the living believe in a “heaven” or “hell” to confort themselfs.

People have always been fascinated with the paranormal and the life after death. I am convinced there is life after death for one reason: Jesus Christ died and was placed in a tomb—and 3 days later came back to life.

Think about it a moment: What would it take to prove to us that there is life after death? The answer is clear: Someone would have to die, and then come back to life again. It wouldn’t be enough for them to have a so-called “near-death” experience; their death would have to be real. And it wouldn’t be enough for only one or two people to see them; it would require many witnesses.

But has this ever happened? Yes—when Jesus Christ rose from the grave! His death was real; hard-bitten Roman guards made sure He was dead before they took Him down from the cross. And His resurrection was real also, because hundreds saw Him during the next forty days. Paul, writing over 25 years later, noted that “he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living” (1 Corinthians 15:6).

How could this happen? It happened because Jesus Christ was not just another man. He was God’s only Son, sent from heaven to save us from our sins. Only He could say, “I am the resurrection and the life. … Whoever lives and believes in me will never die” (John 11:25-26). This can be your hope, by giving your life to Christ today.

NO! They believe in ghosts because they cannot deal with death as a natural process of life and can;t let go of loved ones. Demons can be very deceptive.

I believe due to experiences, none of which have involved lost loved one, unfortunately. I’m not afraid of death at all, when my time comes, I’m more than ready. I’m fascinated by the paranormal because it’s NOT normal and all the different ways they present and their capabilities. For me, I don’t want to become one of the ghosts that are stuck here for whatever reasons, I want to go to Heaven.

Me, and most people believe in ghosts because we have personally ENCOUNTERED one and can find no alternative explanation for it. Of course we also have “Flakes”, people who believe in anything and see a ghost under every curtain. Who knows why Flakes believe what they do.

The existence of what we Call “Ghosts” does not necessarily prove life after death. We do not know what a Ghost is. Just because we see a humanoid figure and can interact with it, does not necessarily mean that it is the “soul of a dead person”. How do we know that it is not some kind of as yet unknown physics phenomenon, such as a “time warp” or portal, and we might be looking at living people in another time? A parallel universe “overlap’ and seeing people from another universe or even space aliens?—Indeed might Space aliens pretend to be ghosts—or some other type of unknown “earth being”?—Folks, we don’t know nothing!
Those who believe that ALL the major mechanisms in physics and Science are already known are full of “it”.

Most of us Ghost Believers believe because we have ENCOUNTERED one.

While “Ghosts” may not be “shades of dead people” as the superstition suggests, The phenomena we CALL “ghosts” definitely exists. It is UNKNOWN. Does being an unknown Phenomenon mean that it is somehow “stupid” or “Unscientific”?

Isn’t it MORE STUPID to believe that the Science of TODAY knows ALL there is to know about the universe and what is in it? Did it know everything in 1900?, 1950? what’s so special about today?

Traditionally, Mankind has ascribed stuff that was “unknown” at a given time to being “ghosts”, Spirits”, etc. Electricity was “unknown” or “paranormal” in Ben Franklin’s time. Was it “stupid” for him to study it?

Don’t confuse speculative and superstitious “explanations” for unknown phenomena with the phenomena itself. For example Do not say Unidentified Flying Objects do not Exist, because you do not believe in space aliens An unidentified in the sky is just that–Unidentified. not liking the “stupid reasons” some people say WHY it is there does not make it go away. You don;t HAVE to believe in a “spooky Ghosts” to acknowledge that SOMETHING is out there that people CALL “ghosts”.
Not believing in something you do not like the explanation for is a LOGIC ERROR.

If you read RL reports of ghosts, then you learn at least what is known about them at present. You can see patterns, and know what is typical. Don’t base your knowledge on Hollywood Movies and Scary Novels.
