Ghosts are souls, right? I once saw a ghost and remember he was wearing a srtiped shirt. The other people with me (we were in a car) didn’t see it, but felt it’s precesence, a girl heard knoking on her window. I just want to know if there is any serious study, scientific or otherwise to explain how come if we catch a glimpse of a ghost it is wearing clothes

I always thought ghosts wore white bedsheets……boy, was I misinformed.
I guess the easiest answer is that they wear what they died in….it isn’t very scientific though.
yeah — you don’t percieve reality accuratly. it’s called optical illusion, etc. a ghost you “see” is just some random stuff in your own brain firing, like in a dream only in real life, and just like you usually dream of ppl wearing clothes because that’s what you see, your ghosts wear clothes too.
and then other ppl “feel” the ghosts because they actively want to participate and convince themselves they saw it.
ppl change their memories to reflect it too — like ppl who see a stick in Loch Ness will tell you “it’s a stick” but then if someone later calls it “nessy” they will later tell THEIR friends that they saw “nessie, or maybe a stick, but i think it was nessy” or something like that, and they will BELIVE it too. if you kept quiet about your “ghost” none of the other ppl would have “felt” it.
there is a scientific explanation for everything — including superstition. It’s the science of the human brain, which i know a little of, because i studied Artificial Intelligence in college, where they build brain-like structures with software. the brain is not logical, it is associative. it associates things together it sees a lot — like shapes of ppl and clothes — and shapes of ppl and a concept of “mind” or “agent with free will”.
heres a news flash for u. SCIENCE TEACHES US THAT GHOSTS DONT ACTUALLY EXIST EXCEPT IN PEOPLES IMAGINATIONS .SO WHETHER OR NOT THEY WEAR CLOTHES DOES NOT COME INTO IT.

Residual hauntings deal with an event thats stuck in time. The theory is that something about the surroundings is acting like a recording device and this event repeats itself over and over again. These types of hauntings will usually depict recognizeable people wearing clothes and they can appear mostly solid or transparent. They will not interact with objects or the living. What you experienced was most likely an intelligent haunting.
