You do realize that there is no evidence that backs up any paranormal claims right? So isn’t it silly to believe in paranormal phenomena?

I don’t believe in it; but there isn’t really much that absolutely disproves paranormal stuff either. It’s silly I guess, but its still fun to think that there something out of the ordinary out there : P
I believe in ghosts based on personal experience. If I was looking for evidence, I would never believe in them. Also, I am Atheist (actually, I’m a Scientific Pantheist, but I consider that a form of Atheism).
You just called every religious person on the planet silly.
Sweet. That takes guts.
there is no evidence that backs up god too,but people believe in him anyway, stupid or not people believe what they want to believe
Well, say that to the little 13 year old boy who wakes up to a ghost standing in his hall way. That’s right… that little boy was me! But that’s besides the point… the point is, I am not 13 anymore, I have a stronger handle on the world, on science, but also on spirituality. I will never say it is not paranormal/supernatural/spiritual… but I will also agree to disagree that it could be an hallucinating mind -_-; I hope it’s not the latter, but it possibly could be.
The fact that we have a conscience should tell you that there is something naturally ghostly about this world. I mean, we are looking at the world through the windows of our mind, and what we are is not from the outside, but from the inside. We are who we are from WITHIN THE SKIN! Unless you really think that you are just a blend of chemicals, cells, and tissues? o_O
But anyway, belief in ghosts… it is a worthy argument. One thing is for certain, the world will never come to terms of agreement with it, because only certain people have ghostly experiences, like me!
No
There’s no evidence to disprove it also. People can believe in what ever they want, and no one really cares of you think it’s “silly”. Most people believe in ghosts because of personally experiences.
Silly? Not at all. There are many things that exist that science has yet to prove, yet we don’t see people running up and down the street, pulling out their hair, screaming that it doesn’t exist because science has yet to prove it. Silly is what those who don’t believe will feel if/when they have their own undeniable experiences that will turn them into believers. We believe through experiences, not just because people tell us crazy stories.
Evidence is not needed when I know what you don’t know.
You think you know the truth, I do know the truth, and that’s all that matters to me, I try to help people to know it, but personally I cannot give you proof. By the amount of claims around the world of paranormal claims, ghost and spirits, more than fifty percent already know that spirits are real and true.
That’s my answer, you have your freewill to believe it or not. Personally I believe you like many other non believers do believe, you just want someone to take you by the hand and show you. Don’t worry someday You will have the experience of your life and then you will feel ashamed for the ways you acted.
No, I don’t. Silly? Not in MY experience. When I get back to the states, I have planned on going to Bobby Mackey’s Music World. We as a team have been there before as well as with the GA team. You are welcome to come (if you are old enough). So, you KNOW where to find me (us).
To prevent being reported again for phishing, I cannot say I will pay your way, but we can discuss the details if you would like to tag along…
Define evidence.
I am a very skeptical person, who doesn’t believe in bigfoot, UFOs or most of what people would deem paranormal. I don’t do drugs, or drink. I’m not religious, and at the time didn’t suffer from any mental illness, (I do now have PTSD, war will do that to ya). I was trained and had plenty of practical experience being a observer, and to operate under stressful conditions, and was qualified to preform security for nuclear weapons and weapons systems. In other words, slightly more level headed than your average nut. Now, maybe to you, visual and auditory input is not considered proof, but based on such proof, I was entrusted to literally make life and death decisions. Meaning based on what I observed on the job, I had to decide where to shoot, or not shoot, someone to death. My word, based on my observations, was proof enough to be used in a court of law.
Having said all of that, I once encountered something, and it defied any explanation other then a ghost or spirit. Do I have a scientific explanation of what it was? No. But it was enough proof for me.
So, how can it be, that if I see something under one set of circumstances, I can use what I see to kill people, arrest people, testify against people resulting in their imprisonment. Yet, under another set of circumstances, if I see and hear something, I am silly for accepting what I see?
I do not want you to, and I do not care, if anyone believes me.
But really, you ought to show some respect for other peoples beliefs, just as you would like them to respect your beliefs.
There are exact sciences and non exact sciences. Paranormal is not an exact science.
Most of the proof lies in the experiences of individuals.
You do realize that there is no solid scientific explanation in existence for every paranormal claim? This means that science has not proved every case wrong. Sure, some claims of paranormal activity are easily explained. But, science cannot explain everything. It is ignorant and sad that you believe otherwise. I’ve experienced the paranormal first hand, and my family is scarred by it. It isn’t something to laugh at.
